We all hoped to be finding a light
We were alone on the Earth
Searching for someone alike
Your words made sense
In the truth you possessed
Believing the call of our kind
Would be fine if we were
Divinely blessed
(You said we would be recycled)
Took ahold of our souls just to
Make us the same
Called me something I wasn't
It's not just a name
Take your time taking minds
Just to stay in the game
Made me someone I wasn't
It's not just a name
We couldn't love but you paired us together
To walk hand in hand
The irony
We couldn't make this world ours
Because it wasn't part of the plan
(You said we would be recycled)
(You said it would be recycled)
Why do we do like you?
Why do we do like you?
You called me something I wasn't
It's not just a name
You made me someone I wasn't
It's not just a name

A brand new heart
for your counterpart
You imagined the life
before they walked into the dark
An alternate life
slowly rides the line
and all it takes is watering at night
Wait to climb aboard
Destruction to a T
Shattering responsibility
Sometimes it's easier said than done
Eternal life
from earthly vacation
A burning knife
won't cut you out
of cold ice persuasion
You accepted the ride
with the exception of life
You might find yourself in love
with deception and lies
An unconventional mind
was your ticket to die
You may have found
your dot in the sky
They never heard from you
and it became a concern
You were gradually conditioned
with nowhere to turn
You went to climb aboard
Construction to a T
Shattering responsibilities
Eternal life
from earthly vacation
A burning knife won't cut you out
of ice cold persuasion
You accepted the ride
with the exception of life
You might find yourself in love
with deception and lies
An unconventional mind
was your ticket to die
You may have found
your soul in love
with your dot in the sky
You accepted the ride
with the exception of life
You might find yourself in love
with deception and lies
An unconventional mind
was your ticket to die
You may have found
your soul in love
with your dot in the sky

When you walked alone to leave your life at home
You really wanted to die
And if you hoped to hold the key to eternity
You really wanted to die
Can't count your blessings saying goodbye
Did you really watch your desires resign?
In the case of a wanderin' eye
When you fell to Earth and lost the love to love
You really wanted to try
Can't count your blessings saying goodbye
39, by design
Did they beam you up into the lights in the sky?
If you could take a polaroid of your life
Would you cry?
Would you make them stare into the whites of your eyes?
(Eternal point of view)
And when you came to turn the hands on the sands of time
You really wanted to die
And then you showed them all you fell
It was so hard to break the spell
You just wanted to die
Can't count your blessings saying goodbye
39, by design
Did they beam you up into the lights in the sky?
If you could take a polaroid of your life
Would you cry?
Would you make them stare into the whites of your eyes?
(Eternal point of view)
Really just a roll of the dice
When truth or lies will make you cry
Really doesn't make a lot of sense
Too tense to recompense
(The end we'll all be cleansed)
